Willie Bauld was accused of missing an opportunity to send Scotland to Brazil but it was “Il Gattone” who turned out to be the villain of the piece with yet another wonderful save.  Bert said afterwards that Bauld’s shot would have hit the rigging if he hadn’t managed to get a fingertip to it.
