Top 5 goalkeepers in England: Gil Prescott’s choices

Gordon Banks (Positionally excellent), Bert Trautmann (A gentleman but massive, scored against him v Stockport County when he was their manager), Neville Southall (Watched him at Llandudno an old club of mine - recommended him to Blackpool who came with me to watch him, they had two international keepers so couldn’t take him.  I rang my mate at Bury who paid around £20,000 for him, went to Everton for £130,000 within months, the rest is legend.  Pat Jennings (Huge presence, not the most technical but very effective.  Peter Schmeichel (Another who was not technically great, but another huge presence).
